Product Description

The Carbon Heater® HotPAD heating systems combine the flexibility of passive heating plates with the advantages of active thermophores. The HotPAD system is not permanently connected to the Thermobox and can be moved from one box to the other as required. The main advantage of this is that the existing transport boxes can be used in different ways and if the box wears out, the heating is not affected. Due to the electronic temperature control, the food is only heated or regenerated when the temperature in the thermobox falls below 70 ° C. This means that compliance with HACCP regulations or DIN 10508 is observed and the quality, appearance and taste of the meals are not impaired - the heat is supplied in a targeted and controlled manner.

Additional advantages

  • No preheating required
Fast heating due to carbon technology with 99.99% efficiency.
  • Automatic temperature control
The temperature is controlled fully automatically at 75 ° C; additional monitoring is not required.
  • Temperature-resistant up to 120 ° C.
Hot GN containers or trays can be placed on the heater without first cooling down.
  • Lightweight and space-saving
The HotPAD heating system weighs just 700g and is a total of 10mm flat and therefore does not affect the transport, the volume or the filling height of a box.
  • Quick and easy cleaning
All Carbon Heater® HotPAD heaters are IP67 splash-proof and can be cleaned with a damp cloth.
  • UK TYPE ‘G’ PLUG FITTED

Keeping food warm according to HACCP

The HACCP regulations for keeping food warm provide clear rules for the menu service, meals on wheels service, caterers and caterers. The background to the DIN 10508 regulation are possible pathogens (eg Bacillus cereus) that are able to form resistant spores - up to 100,000 germs or spores can develop from one bacterium in a very short time. In food in particular, these spores can become a health problem when they germinate and usually lead to food poisoning with the result of diarrhea and vomiting.

Against this background, cooked food must be kept warm in a temperature range of 65 ° C to 75 ° C and consumed no longer than two hours after preparation.

This regulation means that the meals delivered are not only checked and documented for compliance with the core temperature in the daycare and school catering, and acceptance is refused if the lunchtime catering provided, for example, is not observed. The heat chain is only guaranteed for a short time, especially when transporting the cooked food in unheated transport or thermal boxes. Active heating of the meals is therefore necessary. Here the Carbon Heater® HotPAD Thermobox heaters offer a cost-effective and easy-to-use solution to ensure perfect quality. Unlike preheated heat accumulators or heat accumulators, for example, which add heat to the food in an uncontrolled manner and usually at over 90 ° C at the beginning,Keeping warm with the HotPAD heating systems is fully automatic and
